La Fonda
La Fonda was constructed as a residence in the 1920's. Over the years, as las fondas (Spanish for small inns) sprang up along the by-ways to cater to the travelers, it was changed to Casa Vieja, and later to La Fonda. It is our intention at La Fonda de San Mateo to maintain the tradition of serving good quality Mexican dishes so that you too can enjoy la cocina mexicana.
